VoidCheatSheet

Boss cheat sheets that live in the game, not in a browser tab.

Midnight Season 1 9 bosses · 3 raids MIT license No telemetry

01Why I built it

I'm not a raid leader. I'm a raider — the person who shows up to my guild's runs every week, knows my class, and tries not to die. Which means I'm also the person who, three seconds into a pull, suddenly can't remember whether I'm supposed to soak the Umbral Collapse or dodge it. I'd alt-tab to a wowhead article, scroll past the wrong paragraph, alt-tab back, and find out the answer the hard way.

The strategy guides on the web are excellent. The problem isn't the information — it's the form factor. What I needed wasn't more strategy. I needed a small, focused reference card that lived inside WoW, showed one boss at a time, and stayed quiet otherwise.

That's VoidCheatSheet. It opens a draggable, resizable panel in the game, picks up the boss you're currently fighting (or one you ask for), and renders a single-screen sheet — phases, key abilities, role reminders, and the wipe mechanics you absolutely cannot ignore. No network calls. No data collection. No login. It reads from a static Lua table and draws frames. That's the whole thing.

02Credit where it's due

I didn't invent any of this strategy. The mechanics are Blizzard's. The detailed analysis — what causes wipes, the exact timings, class-specific guidance, video walkthroughs — comes from the people who put in the hard work. I'm a customer of those sites who needed a different form factor for the same information.

If you want the deep dive, go read them. They are the actual source:

VoidCheatSheet is meant to be the summary you glance at mid-fight. The above sites are where you prepare beforehand. Use both.

03What's inside

The addon currently covers all 9 bosses across the 3 Midnight Season 1 raids. Each boss shows up as a single panel with phases, abilities, role calls, and a one-line "what kills you" summary at the top.

The Voidspire 6 bosses

  • Imperator Averzian

Tic-tac-toe board control. Boss claims tiles via Shadow's Advance. Prevent 3-in-a-row or it's an instant wipe.

  • Vorasius

Void Godzilla. Stomps walls into existence, spawns adds that detonate to break them, then fires a lethal sweeping beam that requires the broken-wall safe zones.

  • Fallen-King Salhadaar

Orbs advance toward the boss. If any reach him, it's a wipe. Stagger orb kills 8 seconds apart and manage shrinking arena space.

  • Vaelgor & Ezzorak

Two dragons that must die within 10% HP of each other, kept 15+ yards apart. Tether and DPS balance.

  • Lightblinded Vanguard

Three former paladins with independent energy bars. Each ultimate buffs the others. Has to be a coordinated kill or Retribution stacks burn you down.

  • Crown of the Cosmos

Alleria Windrunner consumed by Void. Three phases, two intermissions. The hardest fight in the raid; pages display per phase.

The Dreamrift 1 boss

  • Chimaerus

Raid splits between Normal and Shadow realms. One group damages Manifestations in the Shadow Realm while the other handles the boss and fixated adds. Coordinate or it falls apart fast.

March on Quel'Danas 2 bosses

  • Belo'ren

Light vs. Void polarity. Feathers determine which color you can interact with. Two-form fight — Phoenix (manage mechanics), Egg (true damage window).

  • Midnight Falls (L'ura)

The hardest fight in the tier. Memory-game laser sequence, bouncing glaives, crystal management, and a Mythic-exclusive secret phase. Three phases plus intermission.

Important: these are summaries — the kind of thing you'd write on a sticky note next to your monitor. For the actual strategy, see the guide sites above.

04Install

In-game: /cs opens the panel.

05More from the workshop

VoidCheatSheet is one of several addons I maintain. There are also a few mobile apps that have nothing to do with WoW.
